It is officially spooky season! Back in July I was commissioned to make a new set of Halloween costume images for Goodwill Industries. Fun fact October is the biggest sales month of the year for Goodwill and for one reason. Thousands of people from all over the nation head to Goodwill to make halloween costumes. Move over big box halloween stores! Making your own costume at Goodwill not only looks better but saves you money. Before getting this opportunity I regularly put my costumes together via Goodwill. Using your imagination and finding real clothes that will last has given me options for future halloween events. Cowboy to Mad Hatter to Jedi all in one night thanks to my goodwill costume collection.
The shoot was incredibly fun! I had music cued up for each costume. Obviously we played some Kate Bush for our Stranger Things inspired costumes. The models consisted of a mix of Goodwill employees and agency friends and family. That brings me to our next big player in this production. MYTHIC! The agency was fantastic and really helped to bring the vision to life. We hired the best freelancers in town and it made for a dream team. Hair and make up crushed each look. They did everything from natural looks to a zombie Dr. Strange. The biggest job for this production was wardrobe, 25 costumes all made from thrift store finds! The wardrobe stylist absolutely crushed this shoot! With everyone working at their best we made some incredible images for Goodwill. They will be used online, on social media, in store and out of store nationwide. Below are some examples of placements.
